Heath Crager, CPA
Heath graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1991. He has worked in public accounting for 18 years with a 7 year break where he operated as a CFO for a local company. Since he has worked in both the public and private sectors of the accounting industry, Heath has a great appreciation and understanding of his clients' business-owner perspectives. This proves to be a great asset for clients because Heath is not only an outside tax preparer, but also a team player with his clients, helping to grow their businesses. He has been a board member for the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission for 10 years with a focus on fundraising. He is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA).

Eric LaBorde, CPA
Eric graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a Bachelor of Science in Management and Administration in 1999. He came to our office in 2011 after working for the State of Louisiana for 7 years. He later received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2013. Eric completed the requirements for being licensed as a Certified Public Account in 2016 and became a partner in the firm in 2017. He specializes in personal income tax returns.

Louis Palmer, CPA

Louis has been working in public practice for many years with his own firm. He established himself as a great resource for his clients so that he could help their companies thrive and prosper. Lou merged his company with our firm in November of 2022. He is quite the renaissance man as he loves to mechanic on his sports car in his spare time.
He is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA). |

Jacob Boyle
Accountant

Jacob graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a Bachelor of Criminal Justice in 2015. He later received a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting in 2021. He came to our office in 2021 from a warehouse manager position in the local area, looking for a place to grow a career. Jacob excels with Excel and has been trained in Certiflex and CCH Axcess. He has been able to fill various roles including payroll processing, bookkeeping and personal income tax returns. He is studying to sit for the CPA exam.

Lauren Smith

Lauren graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Accountancy in 2023 at Louisiana Tech University. Lauren worked as an Administrative Assistant, including a role in accounting, at a Consulting Group for 5 years. She has experience in QuickBooks, Certifiex, Excel, and CCH Access. Lauren's role includes payroll, bookkeeping and tax return preparation. She plans to sit for the CPA exam soon.

Tracie Smith
Administration

Tracie came to our firm in 2010 as the receptionist and data processor. She soon worked her way up to payroll specialist and accounts receivables. Her responsibilities include office managing, AR, HR, payroll processing and non-profit bookkeeping. Prior to working at our firm, Tracie gained business administration and accounting experience as Office Manager and Payroll Administrator for over 10 years with a local company.

Victoria McLain
Bookkeeper

Victoria came to our firm in 2021 as a bookkeeper. Previously she worked as an administrative assistant where she learned different areas of accounting. Soon she became a part of an Accounts Payable team. She worked in Accounts Payable for 8 years and assisted the Accounts Receivable team when needed. Victoria has been trained in Certiflex, QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online and ATX. Her responsibilities include monthly write up, sales tax, payroll taxes and accounts payable for numerous clients.

Jazell Roberts
Bookkeeper
Jazell retired after working for the Louisiana Department of Revenue for many years. She started working in public accounting after her retirement from the state and joined our firm in 2011. Jazell now works part-time for the firm but continues to be a great support for the clients she serves. Now that Jazell has more spare time she is able to dote on her dogs even more.

Russell has an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Bossier Parish Community College. He has worked in private and public accounting and joined Lou Palmer's CPA firm in 2022. Russell moved to our office at the end of 2022 when Lou's staff joined our firm.

Jamie Skinner
Receptionist

Jamie joined our team in 2020 and has been the face and voice greeting our clients ever since. Her smile and warm greetings are a great introduction to new clients and are always welcoming to people she sees on a regular basis. Previously Jamie worked in administration at a dental office.
